The San Francisco Symphony Presents Great Performers
Having completed over 100 tours, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra — the National Orchestra of Poland, has performed in all the major concert halls, winning applause from the audiences and critics alike. In their first program at Davies Symphony Hall, the Orchestra brings the second piano concerto of beloved national composer Chopin, as well as Tchaikovsky’s final symphony, the marvelous and moving Pathétique. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear the Warsaw Philharmonic in what the New York Times raves as ”rich, handsomely blended sound . . . Mr. Wit affectionately molded and shaped phrases . . . the night was electrifying.”
